Talking about acne treatment should be started with a simple and determining question: what is acne?
As written in
wikipedia, Acne vulgaris (or simply acne) is "a common human skin disease, characterized by areas of skin with seborrhea (scaly red skin), comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (pinheads), nodules (large papules), pimples, and possibly scarring.
Acne preferentially affects skin with the densest population of sebaceous follicles; these areas include the face, the upper part of the chest, and the back. Severe acne is inflammatory, but acne can also manifest in noninflammatory forms.
The lesions are caused by changes in pilosebaceous units,
skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland, changes that require androgen stimulation."
This vivid definition give us a clear understanding about what acne is. Getting acne is something common, but get rid of acne is not always simple or easy. As we can see as a common phenomenon, acne breakout mostly on the teenager. So, can we conclude that acne caused by hormone?
Believe it or not, No one knows exactly what causes acne. No doubt that hormone change play a role, but it is not the real cause of acne. How about food? It is true that certain food can make your acne worse, but it clearly not the cause of it.
Although it's usual ,precise and accurate information about acne actually is very limited. That's why many people failed to get proper information and as a result found it difficult difficult to get clearer skin.
Why treat acne?
Some people believe that the best tretment for acne is no treatment at all. While it can be true for some cases, it is actually not a correct conclusion. In fact, without a proper treatment, acne can resut in dark spot or acne scar. so, while there are many effective and cheap acne treatment available, why we take a risk?
