Understanding acne in teens
Acne is a common problem in adolescence, and its consequences go beyond mere physical appearance. It can significantly affect the image and self-confidence of the young, making reluctant to participate in social and sporting activities.

Acne is related to an excess of sebum in the sebaceous glands of the skin. It particularly affects teenagers, because it is at this time that the hormonal activity increases. Because of excess sebum, combined with dead skin cells and impurities on the skin pores become clogged and lesions develop there, commonly called pimples, blemishes or acne. Acne develops particularly in the neck, face, back, shoulders and chest, that is to say in areas where sebaceous glands are most active. However, acne is not inevitable and there are ways to combat it.

Acne is often due to diet (except in cases of food allergies) or too aggressive cleaning of the skin. These are two myths that too often associated with the problem. Overly aggressive cleaning can make the skin dry and irritated, and may worsen or inflame existing lesions, but does not promote acne.
If acne pimples are abused by too sudden or too cleaners cleaning product, the infection may spread further.

     If scrubs (or peels) are effective, choose those that are gentle to the skin and made of very fine grains. The fine grains are less aggressive, do not irritate the skin and do not aggravate acne.

     Do not rub your skin, make circular movements and light to exfoliate your skin without damaging it.

     Avoid products with alcohol based substances. If alcohol dries the skin, it causes an overproduction of sebum to compensate for the loss of hydration. If you use a lotion, choose one without alcohol.
     Use special makeup. And choose only non-comedogenic products that cleanse the pores of the skin. In the evening, never lie down faces painted, and always take care to clean it thoroughly.

     Of course, no one can completely control his nature, but acne can be brought under control by good hygiene and appropriate care. However, if the problem persists in the form of severe acne for example, or if microkystes develop, the best response is to consult a doctor.
     There are a significant number of medications that may treat acne. Acne is not a foregone conclusion that you should suffer the consequences, a solution is the best way to improve self-esteem.
