Causes of Cystic Acne

If acne is a big hassle, It likely can be cystic acne, the most severe form of unwanted affection for youth and adults. The causes of cystic acne have been studied for a long time, and as the factors that originate try to find the appropriate solutions are analyzed.
Caused by the extra production of sebum by overactive sebaceous glands, cystic acne can also be caused by other factors such as hormonal activity, bacteria, certain medications and even genetic factors.

The hormonal activity during menstrual periods, puberty and sometimes during pregnancy may contribute to acne breakouts. The increase of male hormones (androgens) causes the sebaceous glands to enlarge during the natural process of growth. In the case of cystic acne, sebaceous glands are overstimulated and produce excessive sebum. This reaction can also result in the loss of dead skin cells on a much larger amount. So that excess sebum and dead skin cells causes the formation of blockages in the hair follicles, increasing the risk of bacterial infections and therefore the appearance of acne. The men are not free to be affected by excess hormones typical of their gender, especially when linked with steroids or other drugs of this type, which can be considered among the causes of cystic acne. And of course neither men nor women escape the influence of stress, which causes fluctuating hormone levels in both sexes.

Bacterial infections, meanwhile, can be causes of cystic acne. The P. acnes bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes) is usually present in the sebaceous glands in our skin and is characterized as harmless. However, when the skin pores are clogged, the anaerobic environment thus created causes rapid multiplication of bacteria and causes the inflammation extends. If this situation is not treated on time reducing the presence of the bacteria, will trigger the appearance of cystic acne.
Some drugs may also shape causes of cystic acne or make it worse if it already exists. For example, drugs containing steroids, anti seizure medications and lithium. However, many cases of cystic acne are not related to drugs.

Finally, genes usually causes cystic acne. Acne is usually a matter of inheritance in families whose members have suffered this scourge. Although it is clearly not considered a hereditary disease that can be transmitted, acne can occur in children if their parents suffered. This is because parents genetically determine the type of skin you have children.
